September 11, 2018 - Blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Sangiovese - it’s the same blend each vintage afaik. Beautiful voluptuous nose. Ripe dark cherries and overripe blackberries, very nice aging notes. Fun to drink right now. Drink up within the next 4 years. Drank at Falstaff Mazzei tasting at restaurant Saittavini (Düsseldorf/Germany).

January 20, 2013 - Dark colour, soft, velvety and dusty with a fruity core. Last bottle - bought in Italy, lugged it to Peru and over the years to Canada and thence to the UK - it survived very well!
