November 6, 2021 - My first bottle of this after 10+ years in the box. Had with an amazing prime bone-in rib eye w/ chanterelle cream sauce. Honestly, and I am not sure exactly why, I didn't really have high hopes for this wine. Perhaps it is the size of the Frescobaldi empire. Be that as it may, this is super nice. Dark plum fruit, some candied berry elements, tomato jam, white pepper, lead pencil, and rosemary. A lot going on here. Medium-long finish with melty tannins. While I cannot say this speaks of Tuscany or Italy in general, it is very fine and the care in which this wine was made is very apparent. This is a head turning wine. It is drinking quite well at the moment and will not improve.

September 3, 2021 - Opened the cork broke so I pushed it through and let sit for an hour or so - when I went to taste - it was sour. So down the drain it went.

November 8, 2020 - Drank this wine twice during the last year. Perfectly drinkable now. Will hold for several years.

April 9, 2020 - Deep Ruby red, although past the “window”, it’s youthful, plenty of fruit, and bracing acidic finish. Years to go still with this one!

December 5, 2018 - Superb and still going strong. Will last for another 10 years but it is so delicious there is no point waiting.
