February 21, 2012 - Nicely aged Shiraz, smooth tannins, shiraz tingle in the back of the throat, herbs and spices, nicely integrated oak. Fantastic QPR at 10 euro. Probably good till end 2013.

December 18, 2010 - Blackberries, cassis and vanilla. Soft tanins. Drink now and the next 2 years.

February 6, 2010 - Came across as a serviceable, albeit undistinct Aussie shiraz, which was disappointing because I was looking for a South American interpretation of syrah, and not a shiraz copycat. Over time it picked up some steam and showed raspberry jam and spice on the nose and currant on the full-bodied palate, but not sure this adds much to the landscape.

(Maycas del Limarí Syrah Reserva Especial) The grapes are sourced from a small vineyard on the banks of the Limarí River. Blackberry, blueberry, black pepper, and spice combine with crisp acidity. The 2007 is redolent of stone, plum, dark fruit, and smoke. Elqui and Limarí: Chile’s Northern Valleys
