  • Tim Heaton Likes this wine:

February 23, 2024 - PnP. I think I'd have liked this as much as my mates, but I thought there was some distracting oxidation. My mates drained it nonetheless.

December 19, 2023 - A rich, spicy wine, which has shed most of its tannins but not its structure. It typically has only 10% aglianico, but that is enough make it distinctive in the world of Bordeaux blends, without it seeming rustic at all. Worth waiting for.

  • Nico P. Likes this wine:

July 13, 2023 - 13%. Decanted. Dark inky red core, thin purplish rim. Fragrant plummy dark berry fruit, with a tobacco / ash top note. Not porty, but sweet on the attack. Sour cherry, tannins fully integrated but not soft. Delicious and ready to drink but this bottle could still hold for a few more years.

18/3/24 wine was stored in resealable 180ml bottle filled to minimize ullage. On the nose, sweet strawberry and cherry, some tobacco herbs foliage on back end. Still some grip, full bodied.

October 3, 2022 - Different than previous bottle. No port on the nose, but also no mint or eucalyptus. The wine was bought from a different source. In a blind tasting I would have assumed a well matured Supertuscan. Drink now.

June 4, 2021 - Wine was soft, no decant needed. No hard edges but not overly interesting at this point. I suspect it’s on the downside with fruit fading. Not offensive just ok...
