June 2, 2015 - Oakier Barolo than I am used to. Riper cherries and raspberries. This must be the "modern style" aged in barriques.

August 1, 2014 - Full of cedar and ripe cherry, aggressively (and pleasurably) tannic. Some nice herbal notes on the nose, the palate feigns sweetness before giving way to rocky, dusty tannins. Light body, yet penetrating flavor, if one-dimensional. Doesn't really evolve on the palate, and the finish is a bit truncated. More 'enjoyable' than 'refined'.

April 22, 2012 - Nebbiolo is an interesting grape. A contrast between very pretty characteristics and rugged structure.

I found this one to have tons of floral aromas, such as: violets, potpourri, rose petal and lilac soap.

Had the classic tell tail signs of VA and bricking edges matched with dried cherries, dried leaves and that dominate floral component.

The alcohol stuck out a little, but less so than most Cali wines.

Has moderate/moderate plus complexity and will get better with time.

    Drink this with food!

October 11, 2011 - Medium intensity focused nose offering red fruit, herbs(basil), flowers and earthy minerality. Tight, with a solid structure profile that leads to refreshing acidity and medium + fine grained/robust tannins. Well balanced with a lingering finish. Still young. Will improve.

September 10, 2011 - Fruity on the nose. Classic Barolo with lots of tanins and a long finish. Should develop nicely over the years.
