November 15, 2020 - I lied... my last tasting note of this wine said I would wait another year to open my last bottle. However, I couldn’t resist. Fully mature, brick color, and delicious fruit centered core. My first tasting of this wine was March 5th, which was just before all hell broke lose with Covid.

June 30, 2020 - Very similar to my pre-Covid quarantine tasting note back in early March. This is drinking fantastic now. One bottle left and I will wait another year or two as it still has life.

March 5, 2020 - Delicious. Full, round, Burgundian in style with high toned red fruit and a touch of grapefruit/orange rind character on the finish. Fully mature and drinking really well now.

January 8, 2015 - What a fascinating study in aging wine. I was never that impressed with this bottling but now just past age seven it was remarkable. Much more aromatic, full of cherry vanilla, spice, and cedar. Nice acidity with a lovely sour cherry core and sweet spice that coated the palate. Far closer to Pinot greatness than ever before. However, by the second night it was fading and heading toward stewed. If you have some I wouldn't wait to drink it.

August 22, 2014 - Another excellent bottle -- likely in its sweet spot at 7 years of age. Shading toward a darker profile than a bottle of a year ago, with aromas of black cherry now coming to the fore, nicely accented by hints of brown sugar, baking spice and flinty minerals. On the palate, red (raspberry, strawberry) and black (black cherry) fruit intermingle, with notes of clove and cola keeping it interesting and leading to a tart, minerally finish. Well put together and easy to drink.
