  December 29, 2023 - Despite my bias against overdone Napa Cabs like I assumed this was, I was pleasantly surprised by the balance here notwithstanding its ripe and plush nature. There was great depth and luscious texture. Certainly fruit forward with blackberry, boysenberry and ripe plum. But it had good acidity and length. The oak influence is out front but not overdone. Quite easy to drink actually. Plenty of life left.

  August 11, 2023 - Despite hours of air and a second night, the tannins were still a bit gritty for me, which was the only real negative. I suspect the fruit will fall off before the tannins approach silky or velvety. The dark fruits were very ripe but not overripe, some dusty tannins, dried herbs, touch of Oak. Prior bottles were definitely better. Drink up.

  May 27, 2023 - Delicious, mature but not over the hill, rich almost sweet high end Cal Cab. Dark fruits, cassis, cedar. Long, long finish.

  July 10, 2021 - 3 hour decant, but could have stopped after 90 minutes. Fruit not quite as dominate as prior bottle, but still plenty of overripe goodness. Sweet Oak, some dusty tannins, hints of cassis. Seamless, smooth, long finish.

  April 18, 2020 - 1 hour decant. A powerful wine with loads of complexity. Very fruit forward but so much more than a fruit bomb. Overripe but not jammy blackberries, black cherry, some tangy raspberry elements, hints of Eucalyptus, sweet Oak, cedar, and dried herbs. 30+ second finish. Very smooth. Only drawback was that the 15% alcohol was not sufficiently hidden and this knocked it back at least a point for me. Still, a phenomenal wine that I look forward to revisiting.
