  January 14, 2013 - red, orange, in color. vegetative, wood, earth, plum, spice, on the nose. butter, mocha, tar, earth, pancake syrup, on the palate. medium acid, high tannins, on the finish.

  July 10, 2011 - After reading the preceding CT notes on this wine I was afraid to open a bottle of this wine. Happy to say my bottle showed very well good enough to score a 90. Not near it's peak but I will drink my remaining bottle over the coming year.

  May 23, 2009 - PnP. Pruny blackberries and cherry kirsch with some spice and meat. Very simple fruit on palate with more than a hint of etoh. Still with decent acidity and tannins, so this has some balance, but this is not smile-inducing and, judging from my previous notes, not at a good stage at this age and indicates that I'm dealing with either palate or bottle variation.
