    September 22, 2016 - 91+

Has aged well (in a cool cellar). Consistent with my note from 2/2015 "Blackish red color (looks younger than an '07). Cassis, blackberry, menthol, tobacco on nose. On palate, medium body, great balance (fruit / acid / tannin) with black cherry, blackberry tobacco flavor profile. Medium+ finish"

    Would buy again.

April 1, 2016 - Deeper than I thought it would be. More powerful and better fruit. Probably at its peak. For what it cost it is a great wine. Actually has a real nose. Interesting. I think that time has done it good.

March 25, 2016 - Low in acid. Seems a bit tired. Grape, blue fruit, chocolate is there but muted. Little late on this one

February 6, 2016 - Beautiful older Napa cab nose of dark fruit with tannins fully integrated into the structure of the wine. Very soft and delicious. Parker rated this wine 91 and said it would improve through 2019. I cannot see how this wine would not decline from here going forward. We have tried several bottles over the past 2 years and am convinced it has nothing more to give. Excellent price/value at $15/bottle.

December 17, 2015 - Full body now after 8 years. Dark fruits with currants and licorice dominating the mid palate. Fairly smooth with some acidity and soft tannins on the finish. Maybe peaking at this time. Good drinker and great with red meats.
