Dense and extracted with no tertiary character at this point. I double blinded this on my brother -- he guessed Calistoga Cabernet 2004 vintage -- pretty close! He did see the bottle shape and that the cork was very crumbly, so perhaps not the best blind conditions, but I was impressed nonetheless!

Very dense and concentrated. Quite ripe and almost liqueur-like with noticeable alcohol. Not much Cabernet character. I'm not really a fan of this style, though some may find it impressive, especially at this age. -

February 17, 2012 - Surprisingly an earthy, funky nose. Dark Berry, hints of tobacco, with a good finish. Good cab, not really special but indeed an 89 to 90 point cab.
