Small Production California Pinot Noir Tasting, Episode #906, 8/24/2010 (link) 87 points(Kosuge Pinot Noir Manchester Ridge) #1; COLOR-medium/dark; NOSE-nice burnt cherry; burnt tire meets cherry; a little creaminess as well; quite pretty; PALATE-nice meatiness; good body; really like the minerality on the mid-palate; a beautiful transition from the upfront red fruit to the minerality; I almost get bacon bits component; white cherries; the alcohol is spiking a bit for me which gives me concern for the balance, but this wine is very young and has the components to age well in 3-5 years; good wine; great components; slightly bombastic and over-the-top for me; but very well made and good for those who like this style; JR-90; GV-87
