Community Tasting Notes 5

August 18, 2006 - Stumped everyone. Complex nose, with few distinctive characteristics. Grassy, lemony, honey. Palate was quite short, but wet stones, minerality, honey. A nice wine, but not as fruity as you might expect.

December 2, 2005 - Bistro K: Strong Rhone like quality all around: nail polish-petrol--but loads of character; waxey bod and flavor--I thought of crayola crayons. Slight bitter fin. Lots going on here. From Gregg.

September 1, 2005 - Early Sep 2005 birthday dinner at Buffy’s steakhouse: I know this wine is made of other grape varieties but the best description I can offer: the wine tasted like a decent Sauvignon Blanc that evening.

Wasn’t impressed by this rare white Lynch-Bages (the sommelier told us its a rare wine. Never checked if this hold true).

March 5, 2004 - Kitty’s: Very stemmy, low a’s (as usual for Bordeaux whites these days); minerally, even possibly corked with a cardboard, horse blanket nose.
