March 9, 2011 - Brilliant ruby core/amber meniscus. Meaty and stemmy aromas lead to a tangy cherry and currant fruit core. Big limestone terroir blast arrives mid-palate alongside firm, stemmy tannins. This wine is unbelievably fresh, lilting and delicious. I can't believe this is a '78! It performs more like a wine 15 years younger.
