March 10, 2024 - Still exhibits rapier acidity, but otherwise showing its age, as one might expect. A very satisfying wine, fairly rich with developed fruit and a charred, caramel note. Complex and pleasing,.

July 10, 2021 - The acidity of 2008 is still present but there are signs of secondary development amongst the red fruits and savoury vanilla but this is my last bottle so will not find out how it develops further .

October 16, 2018 - I thought this was a lovely Bourgogne. It had such a perfumed, pretty Chambolle nose, with dark cherries and berries garlanded with whiffs of freshly stalked violets. There was some typical Barthod earthiness at first, but that faded behind the more perfumed notes with time. The body was clearly on the thinner side, but there was a nice round juiciness to it, with a pure crunch of fresh cherries seasoned with spice and a kiss of florals. Simple, but delicious - just want you want from a Bourgogne of its age.

February 6, 2017 - an easy drinking wine but lacks vibrancy - may have left it too long?

December 4, 2015 - Fierce tannins. Hope they calm down. Plenty of fruit. A borgoune that needs a decade ?
