May 12, 2023 - Blind. Strawberry, minty, wild berries, toasted oak, meaty, fresh, clean. Half the table guessed Rayas family, which is not too off considering the 14%+ alcohol content. Pinot in Grenache style. 90

No sign of 2008 smoke taint, of course. Not quite sure whether this will continue to improve or if this is on the far side of its peak. Hope others taste and report back.

April 2, 2018 - Having seen a couple reviews that suggest the 2008 Summa and Summa old Vines are fading, I decided to visit this. Pop and pour. The original impression was that it lacked the energy of a bottle four years ago. Over the coarse of about an hour and a half, it put on weight and it seemed, verve and energy. Drinking very well at the two hour point. I think this can go longer.
