February 5, 2018 - Well past it’s prime for my taste (flat with no acid lift). Still they are some baked apple and honey flavors that some may enjoy. It’s drinkable but I would choose something else.

November 18, 2017 - I am a Francophile. Period. Many of my guests liked this wine very much. I just can't get past how much oak is applied to American Chardonnay. There was good fruit and length but I felt like I had oak splinters on my tongue. Not my cup of tea. Give me a Chablis or a White Burgundy any day.

October 5, 2013 - Performing well. More youthful than prior bottle.

September 21, 2013 - Deep gold to light amber. Roasted nuts over backed honeyed apple nose, with lemon and tangerine in the background. More lemon and tart apple, iodine, burnt pineapple in the mouth, where it is creamy with moderate acidity.Medium finish, turning a tad bitter at the end. Still quite nice.

August 19, 2013 - As I heard that someone has said " there are no great wines only great corks" I figure this is the case in this wine as my prior notes describe this wine as spent in large measure. Tonight the cork seemed plumb and intact and the wine is a youthful yellow gold and aromas and flavors are crisp golden delicious apple and fresh lemony cream with an alcohol finish and a vanilla streak.

(Kistler Chardonnay Vine Hill Vineyard) Sweet buttery marshmallow nose with a hint of maple; big, creamy, very young yet, with mineral, apricot and fig; a little hot and oaky on medium-plus finish 90+ pts.
