March 21, 2015 - Nice 2005, good fruit and structure, but a bit weak in the mid-palate, drinking well now.

March 18, 2012 - Nice Saint Émilion with loads of dark fruit, smooth tannins and a long finish that turns slightly bitter.
It has smoothness and ripeness but is a bit one-dimensional and it is showing some age already. Drink now.

January 16, 2012 - Opened after the 05 Fonroque, this is definitively a point or two lower. Nose with oak and dark fruit, the fruit is back on the palate, so I guess this was closed 6 months ago. However fairly simple dark fruiton the palate, somewhat bitter and medium dry tannins, short finish. 86-87

December 1, 2011 - Nothing special here. Some dark fruits, lots of oak and tannin. Move along.

August 20, 2011 - Bought today for USD 20 at supermarket just to give it a try - seemed like a very good deal for a 05 grand cru. Decanted 20 min and drank half bottle over 2 hours. Dark garnet color, nose not very expressive with some red fruit. There is not much (red) primary fruit left on the medium body, however except for a slightly bitter note there is not much else going on on the palate. On the positive side the tannins are quite fine and together with the good balance it makes this a quite easy drinking wine right now (unlike many other cheaper 05 right bank bordeaux which are pure tannin at this point in time).
Rest of bottle did not hold up well the next day. The fruit is now entirely gone, and all there is is left are the dry tannins. Would give it 87 for drinking now but I think it has already started its decline so drink up.
