July 16, 2018 - this was drinking great. has developed some nice secondary flavors and characteristics, while still somewhat youthful. More balanced than I expected.

June 15, 2018 - Great aromas. Red and black fruit, pollen-esque. Licorice to the nose. Drinking very nicely to the palate, showing some sois bois. Med/- tannin remains.

March 7, 2017 - Surprisingly balanced. This bottle took several hours to open up and gain weight, after 4 hours it was still improving with a more viscous mouth feeling and longer finish. Fruit is largely diminished but this was still a fantastic bottle of wine. Make sure you leave time to decant.

December 10, 2015 - Saturated magenta color. A bit opaque.
Ripe mixed berries and black cherry paste on the nose with fennel and baking spices. Very focused and clean.
Rich dark berries and black cherry on the palate, baking spices, a little licorice and an astringent orange rind on the finish. Plush mouthfeel to match the rich fruit.
If you love the stereotypical big Napa experience this is your wine! Rich fruit with enough acidity for balance, wears the 14.9% alcohol very well, terrific to drink aline of with fruit and cheese. Just tastes great!
