November 4, 2023 - Decanted the last bottle of a 2007 retrospective case, for ~2 hrs. Beautiful bouquet! The palate was nice but not a wow wine for me. The flavor started to fade 2-3 hrs in, so I would not recommend decanting. Enjoyable.

August 14, 2023 - Tasted in a broad lineup, this bottle was generously pulled by TMud. It went quickly, as folks wanted to be sure to have a glass, but in my opinion didn’t need much air. Little secondary development, this is all ripe, ultra extracted fruit. Maybe some tobacco, but mostly blackcurrant and fig jam and quite viscous. The warmth of 07 shows through.

August 13, 2023 - Showed a little of the vintage as it had hint of hint of heat. Otherwise deep dark and complex, with a silky mouthfeel. Enjoyed. Didn’t get a lot of tertiary development—unsure if I would have like this better younger.

June 27, 2020 - Decanted 90 mins at the restaurant. Broad but silky ... fun expression of Oakville. Looking at it, I would believe you if you told me it was a 2016–did not look 13 years old.

November 18, 2019 - Decanted and served. Stunning terroir-driven wine with sensual palate of charred earth, cassis, chewy tannins, tobacco, very long finish. Very seductive and silky at first, then put on weight and showed more masculine and structured. Superb.
