Community Tasting Notes 2

February 14, 2016 - Deep crimson, garnet core. Medium+ intense nose of tight black cherry and menthol. Meaty, gamey, perfect with duck. Good acid, works well with food. Highly textural and very interesting on the palate if not overly expressive up front. Darker fruit, leathery cranberry. Seemed much younger than '86. Volnay-like.

    pleasant, fruity nose.
    My #4 of 6.
