December 22, 2018 - I opened this this when our neighbor came over for cards and on 12/22/18. It had a big, deep and ripe nose of cassis, blackberry, mocha, cocoa, licorice, and spice aromas. The palate was smooth, balanced and integrated with flavors of cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice, spice, tea and minerals.

November 9, 2016 - Nose is rich, dark raspberry. Color is deep garnet with a mahogany edge. Initial tasting is a big, complex, somewhat acidic dark red fruit. No layers of flavor yet. Bit of slate and tannin evident on the short to medium finish. After 3 hours of air, no emergence of the fruit, still compacted.

December 10, 2015 - So tight on opening I thought it was dead but after a few minutes in the glass it opens to reveal a vibrant berry and oak that drank quite well. Drink 1-3 years.
