December 22, 2023 - Decanted for over an hour. Really smooth tannins that are well integrated. Dark fruit, long finish. Terrific with beef we had. We really enjoyed this.

July 14, 2023 - Last bottle of the case and it went out with a bang. Best one yet. Mature and sophisticated. With some youthful spirit still in it.

May 22, 2023 - Quick decant to remove sediment, bottled back up and brought to sister's place for BBQ. Opened two hours after and it was really good. No specific notes cuz I was catching up with family, but multiple people really enjoyed it. One more bottle...I'll open that within the next 6 months.

November 14, 2022 - Very much like note from December '21. PNP - really nice nose and palate of a nice aged St. Emilion. Drank half the bottle with some bulgogi, which of course overwhelmed the delicate flavors of the wine. Much better sipping on it after dinner while reading Nemesis Games.

Higher score prob cuz I haven't had a good aged Bordeaux in a while. Or maybe this was a better bottle.

February 23, 2022 - Nose with some unpleasant burnt coffee notes that took a good 30 minutes to blow off, leaving a nice mild sweet perfume of cassis and cigar. Palate with black fruit and drying woody finish - without depth on either but it did improve after a few hours. Decant is def needed to lets those unpleasant top notes blow off and let the tannins ease up a little - maybe a good 1-2 hours. I see myself finishing my last two bottles maybe on nights I just want something to sip on while I snack on something while watching something good on TV.
