March 9, 2019 - This wine was difficult to drink it its youth and I choose not drink or buy them any more. I Took this to a wine event and time has mellowed it out. Tasted like an old Zin without its overdone quality of its youth. I wonder if they still make them like this or if they have moved to a more balanced style?

July 8, 2016 - Big, jammy wine that has a weird finish - almost sherry-like, as Sirwine wrote. Going to let this breathe overnight and revisit in the morning. I don't know what Robert Parker was thinking (or drinking) when he wrote that this is good through 2031.

December 28, 2013 - This bottle was way past its prime. The cork was flawless, but the wine had taken on a sherry type character and it did not blow off. Chemically and just not very good. Big disappointment fro this highly rated wine. Lesson learned -- don't age your zinfandels too long.

March 13, 2012 - Barnyard, earth, dirt, horsey scents and jammy cherries were abundant. Intense, powerful and dense, I caught a glimpse of the quality, but it was not my style of wine.

November 6, 2011 - Didn't have the big fruit anymore but was delicious. Very complex & dark. Didn't have with food. Cork was perfect.
