July 27, 2018 - Opened at room temp, but this needs to cool down - too hot, seems too flabby and too old. I hope some time in the fridge works better.
After cooling down - much better, still at end of life, but nicely structured with sweet fruit and nice juicy acidity and firm tannins. Red cherry and currant fruit mainly - seems like a cab merlot blend, balanced and tasty with a long finish. Very good.1 person found this helpful Comment -

5/12/2011 (link) ***** points(Fidelitas Red Wine Boushey Vineyard Yakima Valley) A unique aroma profile of mineral, earth, licorice, cherry, and roasted nuts. The palate is dense and dark with a lot of finesse, exceptionally well-integrated tannins, and pure black fruit flavors. A thirty-plus second finish. 53% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc. Aged 24 months in French and American oak (50% new). 14.6% alcohol. 315 cases produced.

10/13/2010 (link)(BOUSHEY Red Fidelitas) Cabernet Dear Friends, There are times when a vessel of domestic Cabernet (and friends) is the bottle of choice and it has to be impressive in size, shape and focus - maybe not for you, but for dinner party guests or others who prefer this style. Below are two choices from the home state that continue to be under-priced/under-exposed versus their Napa/Sonoma counterparts but the experience within the bottle will rival any number of upstarts at $100 and beyond. In a nutshell, if you are looking for a stash of high-level Cabernet et al to have on hand (that will be met with a number of “oohs and “aahs” by those around you), today’s the day – both choices are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as single vineyard selections that represent the best Fidelitas has to offer. As an added bonus, both are from 2007, one of the more highly touted vintages in a long time (Napa and Washington State alike). As per my usual rant on scores, don’t ignore the Boushey simply due to fewer points – the styles are different. The Boushey is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet, Franc and Merlot from a terrific parcel of vines that combines a sense of place/minerality with a dreamsicle palate presence (not easy to achieve). The Champoux is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and it is like a velvet boxing champion – still rugged and serious but the satin robe gives it an extra bit of zeal and showmanship. One thing is for sure, due to limited production, you will not find this set on every corner in America. In addition, both would be interesting blind choices at a ten year retrospective of the 2007 domestic vintage. Both are EXTREMELY LIMITED (only 300+ cases produced of each) – directly from the winery cellar with perfect provenance: 2007 Fidelitas “Boushey” Vineyard (Bordeaux blend/Columbia Valley) - (if you are price-shopping, this wine is not available for ) 2007 Fidelitas Cabernet Sauvignon “Champoux” Vineyard (Columbia Valley) - (this wine is not available for - if you hurry, there are a few cases floating around the NY area around ) To order either of the above: niki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to arrive in a few weeks (please check OARS for local pick up after Nov 1st). Both will ship during the Fall shipping season in time for holiday gifts (boy, would these be well-received as top-level office gifts – if you have less than 12 bottles to ship, make sure you indicate to Niki that you would like this set shipped independently, prior to the holidays or the warehouse will hold them until you’ve built up other wines, which could delay the box until spring). Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible. Locals may pick up at their leisure.
