  September 30, 2011 - hum, don't remember it tasting this sweet, especially for a zin. As it opened however more pepper/spice became apparent. Not a wine I would purchase again. Don't remember much about it from the couple days ago we drank it, except for there are much better zins out there for around that price point.

  July 22, 2011 - Four days after sticking a cork in this wine, I opened it up again, expecting vinegar. I was pleasantly surprised. The nose has matured to mostly raisins with some slightly fresher fruit in the background. It's got the aromas of a port now. Well rounded on the palate, with some smoke integrating with dark fruit flavors and a bit of pepper. Tannins on the finish. Overall, a great surprise!

  July 18, 2011 - Good Zin...Smoky nose with some black fruit, very dense and chewy on the palate. Flavors of fruit, tobacco, and a bit of tannins. Long and spicy finish. It's good now but will last for a while longer.
