January 10, 2024 - St Joseph is a big appellation but serious producers like Faurie know the best bits.

Breath this wine and the (quite youthful) blackberry fruit opens up.

    May 31, 2020 - Somewhat meaty smell.

Very nicely balanced, mid weight, not floral black pepper, nor ripe grapey style of Northern Rhone... at least tonight it seems to plot the right middle course... so very drinkable. Refreshing juicy acidity fruit tannin balance.

    Serve cellar temperature.

    Cork, 13%.

June 4, 2012 - Great stuff. Luxuriant texture and textbook St-Joseph flavors of smoke, meat, iron tang, etc., and some exotic spices, with the appellation's soft character in full evidence. Just a lovely bottle, utterly delicious now with tons of upside over the next decade.
