February 13, 2016 - This was undoubtedly a "California beast" when young; medium garnet with orange out to the clear rim; reticent nose of dark plums and chocolate; intrusive acids apparent the moment it touches the tongue; this never came together and mellowed out; suitable for the leftover ribeye for lunch. Some more complex, mellow flavors peeking out with some air to it. If it comes around and shows anything more over the next few hours, I will post again. Merely good right now.

November 28, 2011 - consumed from Magnum. Tasting notes consistent from before, maybe better. Opened bottle 3hr early, did not decant. Definitely a treat. A Pinot that was made right!

September 7, 2011 - Heavy earthy funk and barnyard on opening, softened a bit after an hour decant but still remained on the nose. Otherwise a really nice burgundy style of earth, fruit and soft tannins on the palate. A nice surprise, received as a gift from friends, and was not expecting such a nice drinking wine. Drink now, as its on the tip of the peak. (Doris 89. Still smelling the funk after a couple hours. Otherwise a nice drinking wine)

February 23, 2011 - Very nice, burgundian in style. Fully mature and soft but not spent. Nice fruit remains and ample mouthfeel. Why don't I have more?
