Community Tasting Notes 4

April 1, 2024 - Still a bit young. Great mouth filling balance and texture. Tannin is powdery and integrated. Aftertaste still somewhat tannic (not at all bitter). Needs a few years.

May 6, 2023 - Attractive aged Burgundy nose, autumnal, sous-bois and earth. Angular on the palate, with pronounced tannins (terroir?) and a hard acid spine (vintage?). It's a wine where the midpalate is dominated by the structure, so one needs to take care in matching this with gruntier food. Lovely nose though.

April 9, 2019 - I should really wait on these. This is gorgeous, but it seems to have so much more to offer. My wife noticed how tannic it is. It's tart red berry fruit is quite beautiful, lots of earth and spice, a little reminder of coffee. This is awesome now, but i bet it will be so much better.

February 3, 2018 - I love this expression of Pinot Noir. This bottle seems quite young still. Decanted for 4 hours before dinner. Robust flavor in a light-bodied frame. Perhaps light-medium body would be a better description. Tart, spicy, hints of smoke on the nose, red berry fruit, pleasant kind of hard candy flavor emerges on the finish which is quite long. A terrific bottle, but wait on the rest of them.
