Community Tasting Notes 1

August 22, 2010 - Popped n poured. Strong aromas to start but on the palate it had a watery mouthfeel with low acidity and tannins but the fruit was very rich and concentrated. Finish was short and dissapointing. After 3 hours the fruit has opened and got even better, some tar and violet came out to play, and the tannins are much more gripping creating a longer finish. I don't think 1994 was a stellar year for Piedmont but after 4 hours and some steak kebabs, it's drinking beauitfully and obviously still has some years left.
