Community Tasting Notes 6

June 26, 2020 - Fresh fruit and hay on the nose, on the palate peach, tropical yellow fruit and minerality complemented by a tad sour tones and grapefruit, a very attractive combination which with the fresh acidity make this very harmonious and enjoyable.

June 20, 2017 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #020: Riesling Grosses Gewächs (By JdB): Flowers, minerals, melon and fresh tropical fruits in the bouquet. On the palate white fruits, some herbs and caramel, a pleasant touch of petrol, good acidity and bitterness and a good length.

April 8, 2017 - 2nd Dinner in La Mere Germaine Chateauneuf-du-Pape: In the bouquet tropical fruits and some development. On the palate juicy yellow fruits, minerals and a good balance between acidity and sweetness.

June 8, 2016 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #110; Blind Tasting Riesling Germany vs Alsace (France) (by MM): In the bouquet minerals, flowers, some petrol and smoke. On the palate yellow tropical fruits and litchi, some pear and bitterness, Elegance as well. Certainly a very good wine.

May 8, 2011 - Medium yellow with a light green shimmer --- Nose van Volxem like, vapour of stone meal and tropical fruit, some peaches, a little green apple, minerality, some mint --- Mouthfeel gentle, warm, oily --- Palate green notes, some bark, cut grass, minerality, some herbs, some stone fruit --- Finishes on bitter lemon, minerality, bark. Good vine with questionable qpr. Do not see that much development potential.
