January 23, 2023 - Wow, yes, bottle variation! I opened a bottle of this (from the same source!) two months ago and it was completely dead, flat, brown, no fruit, baking spices, and caramel. Maybe heat damaged, or just too old? BUT this bottle tonight was zippy, savory, and tense, with tart cranberries, pomegranate, nutmeg, green pine, citrus, and leather. A salty feral Burgundy for red Northern Rhône lovers.

August 13, 2020 - Ah bottle variation, I love you! The March bottle was thin, tart and more tertiary; I fully expected to open and toss this one. But no, this one was more viable. Good ruddy garnet color, mildly expressive with a bit of wild game and cinnamon. Sipped over two hours and the last sip was the best--would recommend a two-hour aeration decant to people who plan in advance better than I do. No sediment.

March 25, 2020 - Light garnet color. Tart and a bit simple. Probably better four years ago, but plenty good enough to drink with a black truffle omelet.

July 22, 2017 - Will drink very well through end of decade.

June 7, 2017 - Suprisingly fresh and young. Feels like it will keep for 5 years. Delicious.
