March 18, 2024 - This was another big winner on the night. Bright ruby. Lovely nose, complex and expansive. Beautiful balance, real finesse. Blackberry but also red fruits too. Great acidity. Very fine tannins. Long.

July 5, 2019 - Served en Magnum. This wine is really hitting its straps. Lovely rich glossy deep red with early bricking. Complex bouquet, rare in NZ reds, leather, plums and earth. Deep palate with white pepper, dark red fruits including some cassis. Long with define tannins. Beautifully balanced wine. In magnum this would have at least 10 years, but why wait.

September 2, 2018 - Amazing bouquet drinking extremely well with intense berries licorice and cedar. Will get better with some air. Many more years left

March 5, 2017 - A beautiful wine, if you have this, drink up. Not sure how much better it will get...

February 16, 2016 - Beautiful nose - really sweet berry and spice. Not as full on the palate - this is a delicate wine - rich red berry and pepper, with underlying notes of spice - very soft tannins, some chocolate. Quite rich and rewarding. Drinking very well now and into the next few years.
