February 10, 2024 - Wow - the nose alone is to die for but the palate is equally impressive. Layers of sweet red fruit but also dried flowers, licorice, and a bit of game. Still plenty of structure and a long future ahead. Just as good on day 2, if not better. I agree with others here that this was hedonistic in character, which suits my taste very well. Beautiful stuff.

March 31, 2023 - Nose: raspberry, spices, red fruits, cola
Notes: Quite a chewy texture. The Griotte is big and well structured with plenty of complexity. I would argue and think that it is still very lively and young and that it is just beginning to step into its drinking window. Despite plenty of potential to this wine I really feel that a lot the nose hasn't integrated well enough and that the overall profile still requires a little more time to get to its perfect drinking window. I think another 5 years will be even better. Definitely worth revisiting in a couple of years.

July 23, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Champagne and Burgundy (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Hedonistic nose displaying ample delicious red and black fruit, blackberry, raspberry jam, cherry, a hint of licorice, rose, grilled cep, baking spices and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of delicious red and black fruit, rich and opulent yet fluid and beautifully balanced, perfect amount of acidity and earthy mineral, and a seamless long concentrated red and black fruit driven finish. Although youthful, this is so darn expressive, drinking beautifully.

    January 23, 2021 - 1/6, vg cork.
Medium/deep garnet core, pale garnet rim. Nose shows pure red fruit, aromatic if quite advanced and gamey, spice. Medium bodied on the palate, spicy, savoury, gamey, underlying pure strawberry fruit, has good length but there is a touch of attenuation/firmness. Excellent if not quite as harmonious as I'd hoped, on this showing at least.

May 8, 2020 - Fourrier really nailed this vintage, these wines are so full and fresh, with tremendous depth and spice. Great gevrey character, this may be the best of the bunch
