February 7, 2021 - Wow! Effusive notes of beef and dark fruits on the nose with no sign of deteriorating. Rich and expansive in the mouth. Great experience

February 28, 2020 - Fully integrated, harmonius, with acidity and tannins in balance, still with ripe fruit, lush texture and body. It's singing right now.
Note: stored at a temperature and humidity controlled locker for the entire time.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 26, 2019 - I am coming to think that 6 to 7 years is the right window for the LC wines.
I think this was a perfectly fine wine. But didn’t wow me. Dark fruit. But everything is a little muted now. Maybe a little sour to me. Tom & Sara didn’t get that finish. But we all agreed that it had seen its better days. -

March 10, 2019 - 15.8% alcohol. 50% syrah/25% grenache/25% mourvèdre
Medium purple/red color. The nose is packed with ripe fruit, more on the grenache spectrum, with some black cherry but no smokey or meaty syrah aspects. The palate is exactly what he nose portends, very ripe, jammy fruit, like grenache on steroids, but it covers the alcohol well. There is just enough acidity to prevent this full-bodied wine from becoming cloying, but there is a plush mouthfeel that is pleasurable. The finish has good length and is stacked with fruit. Overall, this is a hedonistic wine with a big mouthfeel, but for my tastes, it seemed a touch too ripe. It was an enjoyable wine that paired well with grilled chicken and steak kabobs. The ripeness was tamped down by the smokiness of the grilled meats. -
