April 22, 2012 - Lovely herbs and spice nose. Light on the palate with a pleasing blend of berries and leather. Very nice.

May 29, 2009 - nose indicates that it is bigger that it really is. on the nose I detect a bit of brandy, tons of black cherry / currents fruit. front does not pack a punch, but opens up to a bit of oak, tannins, and a mild finish. had this with some grilled / marinated asparagus and some pinwheel steak.... went well with the meal

July 8, 2008 - This has a deep, dark, blackish cherry-skin colour. Light red berry fruit initially, soon followed by oak. Then develops positively, with lots of black cherry and liqourice. Yes, a very attractive nose. The palate is thinner than the nose implies. It was even faintly vegetal and stalky at the start. The tannins are drying and the palate lacks the natural sweetness the nose suggests. Very good, although it's a wine that is less than the sum total of its parts.

March 14, 2007 - Gorgeous clear garnet color. Oak and fruit in harmony, asphalt and asparagus notes on the nose. Balanced tannins, integrated oak, blackberry and cassis withpepper in the finish. Lovely and powerful yet restrained in comparison to their rustic crianza. Love this stuff!

February 11, 2007 - Plum, black cherries, leather and loam on the nose and palate.
