April 24, 2013 - Possibly my favorite of the 4 bottles that I had. Really nice balance of old world earthiness and juicy red fruit with good overall balance. Very food friendly as well. A rustic Italian wine that was a killer QPR at the sale price paid.

March 1, 2013 - Consistent with previous bottle although this wine felt a little more plush and balanced. Nice combination of rustic earthiness and red fruit. Killer QPR for the price paid.

January 24, 2013 - Dark garnet color. Slightly muted nose with some earthy, soil driven notes along with some dried red fruit and a touch of savory herbs. Some dried cherry flavors on the palate with a dry mouthfeel and finish. Not much of a midpalate on this wine but overall it drank pretty well for the price paid. It is a perfect, rustic Italian red to keep around for midweek dinners. The acid was fading a bit so I probably would drink this sooner rather than later.
