Community Tasting Notes 2

    January 26, 2016 - 8 hrs after pouring still had fruit and complex finish;
    ruby red; initially( 3 hrs) off putting nose,metallic, but 8 hrs later was a beautiful cranberry, sweet nose with no off odors; body has heavy, concentrated texture, red berry notes; lively med finish. Amazing life at this age, but let it open up before serving, score several points lower at 3 hrs.

    January 26, 2016 - 1969 and 1986 Cali Lunch: Old stories have it that the grapes were from Hanzell for the 69 Heitz Pinot. This was deep and rich, and still holding on to its fruit. Brown sugar, nice nose, beautiful palate. Almost laughable how good this was.
