  May 30, 2020 - A bit of secondaries on the nose, which was fun. On the palate, has that ‘pure’ and therefore not overly complex quality that seems prevalent amongst the quality German, as well as some Austrian, Pinot. Overall enjoyable - however, one is paying a fair premium for the age and olfactory secondaries versus the nearly equally tasty more recent vintages for comparable range of wines (ie. Non-GG classed spatburgunders), so it’s a matter of personal choice of age vs youthful, and Germanic style vs Burgundian.

  November 28, 2011 - Really really good Pinot, a bit herbal, but nicely balanced. This is German, but tastes French. Better than many a premier cru Burgundy.
