    April 29, 2011 - This wine (taken from my cellar) was double-decanted, allowing one hour in decanter prior to funneling back into the bottle. It was then served in single-blind fashion to our Friday tasting group for a Veneto/Friuli-Venezia Giulia theme tasting, being serially tasted over two hours. My tasting was unblinded. The wine shows a medium garnet robe and a quite intense nose of dry earth, ripe plums, sage and nutmeg. Medium-bodied on the palate, with low-to-medium acidity, light sweet tannins and flavors in line with the nose. The alcohol (listed as 14.0%) is well-integrated and the middle palate is solid, with a silky mouth texture. The medium-length finish is smooth. This wine is very easy to drink and was very well-received by the tasting group. Drink now-12/13.

    April 19, 2011 - This is a very good wine that gets better after a bit of air time. Pepper on the nose and a very nice finish. Should have bought a couple of more bottles to have a chance to try it again.
