May 14, 2022 - At maturity now. Powerful but quite elegant for a madiran

April 16, 2018 - Madiran 95% tannat and 5% cabernetfranc. Opaque color. Very dense. Does not show 11 years of age. Nose dominated by blackfruits. Blackberries and blackcurrants. Some dark chocolate. Tannins are there but there is no astringency. Spices. Good length. This wine scream for meat. Winepairing with magret de cannard. Pefect :)

August 6, 2016 - Good nose of dark fruits, intense coffee and hints of dark chocolate. Gripping tannins with good acidity on the tongue with a medium finish. Drinking as good as it's gonna get in my opinion.

March 3, 2016 - Monthly tasting club LTC 2016-02; French or not French? (@ My place): Very dark red color. In the bouquet cherries, dark berries, dark chocolate and coffee. On the palate mainly dark cherries, minerals, some bell pepper, a lot of acidity and a firm amount of tannin. In this stage there is not much refinement and the wine is clearly still much too young. For this evening 88, but there might be potential for 90 some years from now. Keep until 2020 at least.
