June 28, 2015 - Intensity is starting to fade, but the wine still has good structure. Drink now if you still have some.

April 3, 2015 - Ate with Roast beef, very balanced tastes, no overpowering fruit. well paired

October 7, 2012 - 1.5L format. Much less heat than at New Year. Enjoy now!

April 16, 2012 - I enjoyed the '07 which seems the better vintage. I agree with last note, but my experience was overall more "restrained" and smooth...Medium bodied with lighter acid and tannin - such that without food, this is fine stuff. Perfect level of fruit - some sour cherry and light spice/leather due to the oak qualities that are very subtle. This all after a good 60 mins in big glass and a hair chilled.

I would buy more for shelf, but aging won't add much based on my experience, IMO.

March 6, 2012 - Opened and decanted for 30 minutes. Nice red fruit with some developing earthiness. Still a little astringent with some raw tannins and overt acidity. Medium bodied with a growing hint of leather and spice which for the moment is leaving it a little disjointed -- really needs another year I think but doesn't have some of the complexity that will really take this into the 90's or allow it to mellow before it loses the fruit and dissipates to something flabby. Will try again in 6 months.
