Community Tasting Notes 10

March 17, 2015 - This was the last bottle of a case of the 2007 Proprietor's Reserve Cab I bought at Dutcher Crossing a number of years ago. I've always liked this wine, and tonight's bottle was no exception. Very well balanced palette of fruit, tannins, chocolate, and a bit of oak to hold it all together. The wine has aged beautifully and could probably have held up for a few more years. I'm sorry this is the last I have of this vintage -- but I did purchase some of the 2012 Reserve Cab on my visit to Dutcher earlier this year. I think I will let it age for at least another year before I get into it. It is very promising; it tasted well at the winery.

July 12, 2013 - Nice with a chocolate finish. I liked it better at first couple of sips. Got a little bland over time

February 16, 2013 - excellent nose and taste right after being decanted - soft tannins and great black fruit. three hours later, it was outstanding. drink now.

    July 21, 2012 - Elegant & polished.

Dark, dark purple. Beautiful, robust bouquet with notes of tobacco, nutmeg and clove. Smooth and supple with well integrated tannins. Sweet notes with a hint of vanilla. Ends with a nice spice note.

Very well made. I'm not typically a fan of blending Cab & Syrah but this 81/19 blend works for me.

June 17, 2012 - Decanted shortly before drinking. Very dark. Nose of oak, plum, some cedar. Currant, berries. Good body, not sweet but could use a little more tannin to balance.
