    June 5, 2023 - Autumnal, quite pretty.

August 18, 2017 - This didn't fare quite well, unfortunately... Nose had that slight barnyardy taint. Though it was slight, and blew away somewhat with time, it was enough to distract. With time, scents of spice, sandalwood, red-berries started to come forth but somehow, that note of taint continued to stay in the head... Palate was fine, though - red fruited with more spice, it had a velvety texture that lent to a elegant finish. Hope I get to taste a better bottle in future...

September 24, 2016 - 1989 Burg dinner at Jade Palace. En Magnum. Bright red, with just a little hint of bricking at the rim. This wine had an stunning exotic nose, with Arabic spice, white pepper, polished leather, sandalwood, truffle, wild strawberries, pomegranate, red kiwi and mocha. Intense yet elegant on the palate, with splendid length and depth. Very red fruited wine, again with lots of spice, pepper, incense, rose syrup, sweet milk chocolate, marzipan and truffle. A truly magnificent wine, enhanced by the bottle format. Truly lovely!

June 27, 2016 - During a tasting lunch. From Magnum. Light garnet. Expressive and elegant nose with red fruit, tobacco, mint, cloves and licorice, sandal wood, gingerbread. Light bodied with sublime elegance, very much in the house style. This wine was singing on your palate. What a treat to drink this wine at age 25 from a big format.
