Community Tasting Notes 15

  • Rezy13 Likes this wine:

December 30, 2022 - Friday Blind Tasting $100+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): See through dark crimson with orange red rim; aged nose, leather, sour cherry sweet and sexy, very savory, complete wine from start to finish, meaty, orange flesh, sour red cherry, detailed, still an intensity to it; older Gevrey?

December 23, 2021 - Barely 2.0 years old and already over the peak

December 23, 2019 - In all honesty, I have never been a fan of Franoics Lamarche’s wines, but this 2002 Malconsorts showed really well and clearly knocking on Grand Cru doors. Tasted blind – Earthy and meaty with a lifted bouquet of sweet spices and bright red fruits. Great weight and body, knocking on Grand Cru doors. Mild flamboyant berries (potentially Chambolle?) Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuees? 2008? (89/100)

May 24, 2019 - A very different proposition to rage Clavelier Combe d’Orveaux with meaty heft, spicey overtones, and deceptive power and richness. A tour de force. You can broach this now, but it has a fine future. Drink/hold.

May 24, 2019 - Burgundy Wimps — Le Bout du Monde (La Trompette, London): Dense, quite dark and cherry scented. Rounded and quite (silkily) plush. This is lovely. Lots of Vosne-Romanée gloss. ****1/2
