Community Tasting Notes 3

June 27, 2013 - I am a huge fan of Chassagne, and almost always happy with Louis Latour. However, the vintage 2008 remains a bit difficult to access at this point. I recall first tasting '08 white burgs two years ago and feeling the same way. These wines may be destined for greatness - but I'll stick with '04 and '06 for drinking now.

May 4, 2013 - Lots of malolactic goings on here for sure. Tasted better in a big ass burgundy glass. Pleasant with fair acid, but relatively one-dimensional for a Chassagne-Montrachet with few mineral qualities. Okay for the discounted price from WTSO, but not worth a re-buy.

September 23, 2012 - After a crisp, minerally puligny montrachet, this was disappointing. Seemed flat, almost like apple juice. Lots of malolactic character and not much in the way of minerals or acid. Just didn't enjoy it.
