May 1, 2024 - Rumors of its death are greatly exaggerated. Yeah, it’s mature, but not sure I’d say fading. Heavily oaked and the oak is fully integrated, presenting as chocolate and mesquite, with big notes of blueberry/blackberry compote. Not the first word on complexity—this is all about fruit power and mouthfeel. Now-2027

June 4, 2019 - Aromas of blackberries, raspberries, violets, forest floor. Very perfumed nose. This one needed a little time to open up, but did develop once it breathed a little. Not sure how much time it has left. I'm a little afraid it's starting to fade.

September 10, 2018 - We took this cellared Pinot to Tina’s in Dundee for an anniversary dinner. It was drinking quite well and I don’t see any need to cellar longer. Terrific pairing with the creamed mushrooms! Delicious

August 5, 2018 - OMG. What a difference 6-7 years make. Opened a bottle back then, there was nothing to the wine . No nose, no palate flavors, no body, hidden tannins. Did not get better over next couple days. It was sound asleep I guess because now it is a knockout living up to the hype. Firstly, beautiful nose of complex red cherry with a palate of smoky cherries, some other fruit and savory notes with a good medium body yet still light. Tannins seem well integrated. Not much acidity. Nice finish with same tastes above. PnP. No need for decant. Went great with freshly caught sockeye salmon on freshly made pasta with pesto. Probably at peak. Would drink up. Cheers.

June 2, 2017 - Medium bodied, spicy red fruit with a well developed earthy, mushroom note on the finish. Lacking in acidity, this was a bit flat, and a bit of a disappointment given its pedigree and price.
