March 6, 2023 - I dont know why Flora Springs gets no real love and respect within Napa. I have always thought that they make solid, well made wines that age gracefully, while maintaining balance.

I bought this at the downtown tasting room in Napa about 10 years ago, picked from a pouring of all their "Library" wines. Fully mature, without noticeable fatigue, it doesn't seem to have moved much. Lots of deep red fruit, with a deep hue of amber running through it, the wine has that signature napa cab character of cassis and roasted plums and strawberry, wrapped in faint oak. As a friend so wisely commented once, most Napa wines dont get better with age. This is probably as good as it was, without improvement. DRINK

January 14, 2023 - Wonderful wine, lots of structure and primary fruit. The secondary and tertiary flavors from age are more subtle accents. The tannins have resolved nicely, Pnp this ready to go. Caution on the cork, very soft cork I recommend the ah so to pull it.

April 12, 2015 - Great single vineyard cabernet. Last bottle. I would recommend some air time since it tasted great once we were on the last glass. Shared as a pop and pour at a party and it was gone quickly.

December 31, 2014 - A bold nose of dark fruits and spices, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodies single vineyard Cab with blackberry, currants, minerals, chocolate and spices oh long smooth finish. In a great drinking zone, a very good Cab. www.winelx.com

January 11, 2014 - This wine is ready to drink and will probably get even better as it loses some of the big fruit and reveals more of the barnyard earthiness that it carries in the background. A very unusual quality for a napa cab, a cross between a napa cabernet and a burgundy.

Very thick appearance, could use more clarity.
Perfume of ripe fruit and candy.
Soft feel, with a gripping, silky finish suggesting life ahead.
    Long, sweet finish.

    Hold…
