January 31, 2023 - First nose - cedar, red fruit, black fruit, nice rich earthiness. A savory bouquet, the wine smells unctuous. Palate has medium plus acidity, soft balanced but pleasantly grippy tannins, mild cassis, blackberry, dark cherry, clay, graphite, dark chocolate. 2 hours later - more cassis, blackberry, cherry, softer tannins which have mellowed, but still provide structure, the above tasting notes have developed more vanilla, little dill, some baking spices that provide a nice warmth to the long finish on the palate. A fine wine, well structured with a wonderfully complex nose and palate. This wine is drinking well now, but could last another 5-10 years in the cellar. Drank nice out of the bottle but the air time was beneficial.

June 4, 2020 - Smooth tannins and beautiful fruit. Not extremely complex but mature from my favorite bdx vintage.
