November 23, 2016 - Drinking well, but almost a desert wine. Sweat, some oak nice.

August 31, 2013 - This wine is past its peak. However it did go well with parmigiano reggiano and triple cream cheese and crackers.

August 31, 2011 - Weeknight Wine Tasting (Bistro 7, Philadelphia PA): honeysuckle dominated the palate for me, with nice floral notes and the waxiness i love on white rhones. heat creeps in on the finish and detracts from an otherwise pleasant wine.

August 31, 2011 - Survery Of New World Wines (Bistro 7 (7 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia)): A little bit of sticker shock. I drank this without knowing the price. This is an enjoyable wine, yes. Fuller bodied and it should pair well with food. Nice example of California version of Rhone white. Nice salinity and fruit. I noted almonds, apricot and honey with good acidity. That is the good. On the down side, though, I thought it has a bit too much alcohol. It crept in at the finish. Put it all together and this is a wine I enjoyed drinking, but in the $70 range? Wow. I'll pass at that price.

December 19, 2010 - Really enjoyed this.... a wonderful fuller bodied white with lots of complexity. white flowers, apricot, dry honeycomb. concentration of flavors makes you expect some sweetness, but it isn't there -- it is dry. Viscous texture in mouth lets you physically feel the substance you are tasting. Medium(+) finish.
