July 29, 2021 - Surprisingly, the fruit in this wine is still quite dark but it is also showing a lot of freshness and a spicy finish.
There is lots of dried meat and blood and the wine is certainly at its peak. Very classic in its Alban style. -

December 18, 2019 - Yum. Drinking so well now.
So meaty. Dark fruit, spice, bramble, dusty tannins.
Well integrated tannins. Well balanced. This was savoured and consumed slowly.
Went well with chicken spinach sausage. -

September 1, 2018 - No formal notes as we took this to a party and enjoyed while heavily socializing. I can say everyone that tried this Syrah found it highly remarkable and for most, the wine of the night amidst some terrific wines. My wife was pretty blown away with it!

August 24, 2018 - This wine is a blend from their three or four most popular vineyards and is a great example of central coast rhone varietal in general. Still shows a very dark purple/red in the glass, no bricking. On the nose you get a typical rush of heady fruit, blueberry compote and red current but nicely framed with a touch of charcoal just to give it a little complexity. Finish is medium, tannins very rounded. Not a wine to hold, though I don't think it will necessarily devolve in the next five years or so. Very reliable producer, though the prices in recent years have begun to more than fully reflect on the quality.
